    Mothers Day 2011

    We had a great mothers day celebration on Aug 14th 2011... check out videos & pictures below!

     


     

     

    MOTHERS DAY  2010

     

             On the 8th of August we celebrated mothers day here at the Good News Church (Which is on the 12th of August *Queens Birthdate*). All of the children from the Isaiah 61 Project along with their mothers joined in on the mothers day celebration which was held from 2pm-5pm followed by a dinner together with all the mothers. The kids sang a few songs of their mothers love for them along with putting on a special drama for mothers day. We also had a guest speaker Pastor. Boonsee come and speak on a mothers love as well. 

             About a 2 weeks ago we had all the children write an essay on "A mothers grace or blessings", we split the children into 2 groups, 1st-6th grade and 7th-12th grade, the winners were given 500 Baht for 1st place, 300 Baht for 2nd place and 200 Baht for 3rd place. The winners were announced at our mothers day celebration and were all given a certifcate along with their cash prize, the first place winners also read their essays for all the mothers to hear, you could tell that every mother their was blessed by the things their children had writen about them as their were tears of joy rolling off the faces of every mother their.

     

             Winners of our 1st-6th grade essay competition were: Diw (1st), Art (2nd) & NaamPhueng (3rd). Winners of our 7th-12th grade essay competition were Aom (1st), Tdun (2nd) & Pang (3rd).

    It is now summer time here in Thailand, all of our kids are on summer break and resting from a long year at school. But most of our children go to special summer courses at school along with the rest of their classmates. This summer we are going to be attending a big youth camp called "Kingdom Invasion" there will be lots of well known speakers such as Cindy Jacobs and Thailands well known preacher pastor Sidney. There will be youth coming from churches all over Thailand to join together for this massive revival youth camp. Soon after this camp is over it we will be celebrating the "Songkran Festival" here in Thailand also known as the "water festival". Please be praying for us all. Blessings to each and everyone of you.
